The UN Climate Change Conference – or COP26 – is the annual conference hosted by the United Nations (UN) bringing together some of the biggest businesses and most powerful global leaders, innovators and decision makers. It's purpose? Accelerating action towards the goals of the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change. The event will be taking place from 31st October – 12th November in Glasgow, Scotland.
For the first time, we’ll be supporting the UN and the UK Government as the summit’s official Hygiene Partner. This means that we’ll provide advice and scientific expertise on hygiene protocols, and supply Dettol products to help prevent the spread of bacteria and viruses, including COVID, to deliver a safe conference. We are one of only 11 selected Principal Partners at the event – and are delighted to join other leading companies in this position.
“Climate change, planetary health and public health are intrinsically linked. We know our greatest impact is through the difference we make on people’s lives through our purpose-led brands. Throughout the world, our brands are helping people lead cleaner, healthier lives. But we can’t do this alone.
We know the most pressing challenges will not be met in isolation but by working together with like-minded partners to drive real, sustainable change. Shared success creates greater impact. We are excited to be playing our part in meeting this challenge.”
We will be sharing more about our activities at and around COP26 in the weeks and months ahead as the count down to the event continues. In the meantime, our own ambitions For a Cleaner Healthier World are here.
