RB Wins EPA 2017 Safer Choice Partner of the Year Award

RB, a global consumer health and hygiene company and the maker of popular consumer brands including Lysol, Resolve and Easy-Off, was named a 2017 Safer Choice Partner of the Year Award Winner by the U.S Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for outstanding achievement in the manufacture of products that are safer for families, workplaces, communities, and the environment.

EPA developed the Partner of the Year Awards to recognize stakeholders like RB who have furthered the safer chemistry and safer product goals of the agency’s Safer Choice Program. Winners have demonstrated active and exemplary participation in and promotion of the program. In addition to reviewing every product formulation in the RB portfolio for compliance in the program, including 437 products in over 28 brands, RB had 4 new products approved last year by Safer Choice and several more are currently being considered.

Consumer safety and well-being are the top priority for RB. The company has long been a leader in chemical safety in the industry. Since 2001, RB has maintained an internal Restricted Substances List to ensure a consistent global approach to minimizing and eliminating ingredients of concern. As a leader in the Safer Choice Program, RB helped to expand the scope and effectiveness of the program, supporting the antimicrobial pilot program and education initiatives including the Safer Choice Stakeholder Summit.
