We partnered with the WWF in March. In less than six months, we’ve achieved a lot. Here are some of the highlights.

We officially partnered with the WWF in March, in line with our Sustainability Ambitions and our commitment to the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals. A lot has happened in just five months.

Here are some of the highlights…

Our world 🌎

Freshwater projects in the Amazon, Brazil and Ganges, India have now kicked off. Our funding is helping to protect and restore over 2,000km of river nature for future generations and the native flora and fauna that rely on the rivers for survival.

Millions of square feet of wildflower meadows will be restored thanks to Air Wick’s work with WWF. Across the world, biodiversity will be improved and millions have been inspired to fight for nature.

Finish’s recent UK partnership is focused on replenishing 500m litres of freshwater. But the UK is just the start and the project will be expanding further next year.

Our company 🔬

Our first ever water stewardship programme is now taking place across three of our manufacturing sites. We’re conducting a research study alongside the Universities of Sheffield and Leicester to look at the impact of chemical mixtures on freshwater ecosystems

Our colleagues 🙌

Internally at Reckitt, we’ve all played a huge role in reducing our environmental footprint by changing our habits. So far, there are 900 pledges on our platform: Do Nation. This equates to a saving of nearly 40,000kg of carbon, which is the equivalent of 45 flights from London to New York!

What’s next?

Our partnership with the WWF is focused on protecting freshwater sources, restore wildflower habitats, uncovering new sustainable solutions for a cleaner, healthier world, and inspiring millions of people to act for our planet. And there’s still a lot more to come!

We will continue to build on the impact we have started to achieve across both the biodiversity and freshwater projects globally by engaging with local stakeholders and communities.

WWF will also help drive more sustainable innovation through research and collaboration. We’re excited to see what we can achieve together.

We are extremely proud of our partnership with WWF and this really is just the start. We truly believe that this partnership will bring us closer to our ambition of a cleaner, healthier world and thank you to everyone who has already got involved.
