Joining forces with Tourism Authority of Thailand

Dettol has signed a partnership with The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), committing to be a key partner in helping the Thai tourism industry back on its feet.

Bangkok, Thailand 2 April 2021 – Dettol has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), committing to be a key partner in helping the Thai tourism industry back on its feet. The partnership will provide hygiene guidelines and training along with access to hygiene products and solutions to businesses across Thailand.

The partnership aims to promote and support enhanced hygiene and safety standards among Thai tourism businesses and TAT’s stakeholders. A nationwide campaign will follow to promote the importance of “Amazing Thailand Safety and Health Administration” (SHA) hygiene standards and raise consumer confidence in traveling again.

Actions under the MoU on the partnership involves four key aspects as follows:

  1. Enhance hygiene and awareness among TAT’s key business partners, including through SHA guidelines and hygiene training developed by global experts.
  2. Reckitt will help promote the “SHA” initiative internationally via Reckitt.com and the company’s social media sites in multiple countries to raise awareness & confidence among international tourists

  3. Build awareness in safe travel, starting with the Safe Songkran Travel Campaign and the handouts of 200,000 alcohol gel packs in provinces like Bangkok, Ayutthaya, Sukhothai, Chieng Mai, Lampang, Khon Kaen, Nong Khai, Burirum during the festive season.

  4. Provide special packages for TAT’s business partners including a special discount on cleaning and disinfectant products along with hygiene guidebooks for SMEs.
