For the past two weeks we have been in Glasgow taking part in this critical climate summit which we hope will be looked back on as a crucial turning point in the fight against climate change.
We came with the mission to help create a cleaner, healthier planet that promotes human and environmental health and we left with the sense that the majority of the world’s governments and businesses want the same.
Our role as the official hygiene sponsor ensured delegates were healthy and protected as the summit progressed. Over 700+ Dettol handwashing stations and sanitiser were placed throughout the event – helping to keep 30,000 delegates from over 190+ countries safe from COVID-19.
We were pleased to be able to have the opportunity to demonstrate our purpose in action. We hosted and contributed to numerous events covering important areas for our business such as our support for Hull – where our roots lie – to become the first net-zero city in the UK, the role of our brands in encouraging pro-environmental behaviours and the connection between planetary health and public health.
Without a cleaner, healthier planet, our own health will suffer. COP26 is an important moment in time, but we must keep moving forward.
