World Quality Day reminds us that we all have a role to play to ensure our products are the best that they can be

Today, November 14, is World Quality Day. The theme for 2019 is ‘100 years of Quality’ to mark the centenary of the Chartered Institute of Quality. For RB, it’s a chance to celebrate the work we do not only to meet but to exceed the expectations of all the people who choose our products worldwide.

We’re a health and hygiene company with almost 200 years of heritage and we take the responsibility of maintaining the high quality our consumers have come to expect very seriously. That responsibility is a privilege; upholding that trust is the defining purpose of what we do – across all our brands, teams and departments.

Consumers have grown up with our brands and discovered them at various stages of their lives. We honour those experiences and we take them extremely seriously.

Our commitment to quality runs through everything we do – from the board to our factory floors. As Zephanie Jordan, chief safety, quality and regulatory compliance officer at RB, says in this video created to mark World Quality Day: “People on the [production] line deeply understand it and they’re proud of it.”

Consumers “are at the centre of everything that we’re trying to do and implicit in that is putting really safe products in consumers’ hands,” she adds.

World Quality Day 2019 is run by the Chartered Quality Institute (CQI), which marks its 100th anniversary this year. The body was originally founded to improve the production of unreliable munitions following the First World War.
